Ronald Evans, DC, FACO, FICC “Clinical Diagnosis”
Dr. Evans has been an actively practicing chiropractic orthopedist since 1976. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists and a Fellow of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He is an Examiner Emeritus of both examination Boards. Dr. Evans is an author, Elsevier-Mosby‑Yearbook, Inc publishing his first text, The Illustrated Essentials in Orthopedic Physical Assessment, in November 1993. The textbook received the Doody Reader’s Service review award for excellence, selected as one of the top 250 titles in medicine and health care in the United States for 1994‑1995, from 2500 competing titles. His second text, Illustrated Orthopedic Physical Assessment originally published in May 2001, is now in its 3rd most extensive edition presented to the profession in December 2008. A third text, Instant Access in Orthopedic Assessment, published in May 2002, remains in wide use. He was the Chairman of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists advanced degree 2010 project, leading to the development of the Master of Science: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Evans is Vice President and a Trustee of FCER, and he is the Chairman of the Evidence-Based Resource Center for FCER. He was appointed by the Secretary of Defense, and is a Senior Member of that Committee. Dr. Evans currently is serving on the OAC successor committee and the Chiropractic Healthcare Benefits Advisory Committee. He has been very active in the state of Iowa, appointed by Governor Terry E. Branstad to the Iowa Health Care Reform Council. Governor Brandstad also appointed Dr. Evans to the Iowa Board of Examiners. He served the Governor and the profession on this board for 11 years. He was a recipient of the Council on Chiropractic Orthopedists Lifetime achievement Award. Dr. Evans received a Distinguished Service Award from the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. Dr. Evans works extensively with educators to enhance and improve chiropractic education and the evidence basis for chiropractic orthopedic clinical practice.

Timothy Mick, DC, DACBR, FICC “Clinical Radiology“
Dr. Timothy Mick is a chiropractic radiologist reading exclusively for Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) in Minnesota—providing MRI and x-ray study interpretations for Doctors of Chiropractic. He is a nationally recognized chiropractic radiologist, educator and author. As associate professor, he headed the department of radiology at Northwestern College of Chiropractic (NWCC) for 17 years and assisted with developing their Radiological Consultation Services. Dr. Mick was also instrumental in initiating and directing NWCC’s radiology residency program, and providing expertise in diagnostic imaging for Northwestern Health Sciences University’s internationally recognized research department. He lectures to chiropractors, interns, medical doctors and allied health professionals on a variety of topics across the U.S. and in Europe, and has also served as an expert witness on issues regarding diagnostic imaging. |

James M. Cox, DC, DACBR “Chiropractic Treatment Protocols”
Dr. James M. Cox is a post-graduate faculty member of the National University of Health Sciences. Most recently, he is involved in five research projects investigating the science and outcomes of flexion-distraction manipulation (Cox® Technic) for treatment of lumbar and cervical spine pain conditions. Most of these projects are funded by federal grants from Health Resources and Services Administration, a federal agency. Further, Dr. Cox is a diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology, the author of several textbooks, including Low Back Pain: Mechanism, Diagnosis, Treatment, now in its 6th edition (1999), and Neck, Shoulder and Arm Pain: Mechanism, Diagnosis, Treatment, now in its 3rd edition (2005), and a private practitioner in Fort Wayne, Indiana at Cox Chiropractic Medicine, a division of Chiropractic

Scott Chapman, DC, DABCO “Rehabilitation”
Dr. Scott Chapman operates a successful practice in Norwell, MA. His clinical approach involves blending a orthopedic chiropractic focus with outcomes-oriented functional rehabilitation. Dr. Chapman works closely with neurological, neurosurgical and pain management practices and routinely manages complex spine cases. Dr. Chapman completed orthopedic residency in 1993 and served as a clinical instructor until 1995 at NUHS prior to beginning his private practice. He has taught extensively both in the U. S. and abroad on orthopedic and rehabilitation topics and is a published author as well. |

James Demetrious, DC, FACO “Risk Management/Case Studies”
Dr. James Demetrious achieved his doctorate at New York Chiropractic College in 1986. He completed post-graduate orthopedic coursework through National Chiropractic College. He is a Board Certified Chiropractic Orthopedist and Fellow of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. Dr. Demetrious is an executive board member and editor on behalf of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He is a post-graduate faculty member of NYCC and has authored many peer-reviewed journal articles that have appeared in Chiropractic and Osteopathy, JMPT, JNMS, and eJACO. Dr. Demetrious provides care to patients in clinical practice in Wilmington, NC. |

Cliff Tao, DC DACBR “Clinical Radiology/Case Studies”
Dr. Cliff Tao is a chiropractic radiologist and has a private radiology practice in Orange County, California, serving other chiropractors as well as medical physicians throughout the country. Dr. Tao is subspecialized in plain film, MR, and CT imaging of the spine and musculoskeletal system. He lectures regularly in post-graduate seminars not only to his fellow chiropractors, but also to medical radiology residents. After graduating from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois, he completed a diagnostic imaging residency at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) in Whittier, California, where is currently on faculty as assistant professor. He has also completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging research at UCI Medical Center in Orange, California. Dr. Tao is published in several chiropractic and medical journals and has continuing research and publication activity with both LACC and UCI Medical Center. He is a faculty member of the American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists (ACCO), immediate past-president for the Orange County Chiropractic District of the California Chiropractic Association (CCA), and fellow of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology (ACCR). Dr. Tao is also the recipient of ACCO’s F. Maynard Lipe Scholarship
in 2000. |
